A community service organization started by two women in the nineties is spreading through Florida like wildfire. The u-s-f chapter of ” SISTUHS Inc” works to create positive images of black women. It promotes health, education, and leadership

Strength, initiative, spirituality, tenacity, unity, health, and substance, is what SISTUHS stands for. Accepting an average of fifty members a year, this chapter has been on campus for seventeen years. These ladies always find a way to impact the community. You can find the SISTUHS selling dinners to raise funds for worthy causes or creating partnerships with other groups to raise awareness.

It takes seven weeks to complete the right of passage and it ends with an interview on the history of the chapter.

When you ask the members what SISTUHS mean to them
you can find SISTUHS online @usf_sistuhs
